Ed visits Santa!

We went to see Santa today! As you can see, Ed wasn't overly thrilled by the whole situation.

Ed's new toy train.

This is serious stuff here.

Of course, Hailey is more interesting than any toy...ever! He will always stop what he is doing and watch her. Ed loves to "pet" her. Which is really just pulling her hair. Brandon and I always say that Hailey is in big trouble when Ed can crawl...just a little bit longer! He just loves her, but we're not sure the feeling is mutual. She just wants to play with all of his toys. We found her chewing on one of his new toys the other day. It was hard to yell at her though. She's usually so good about leaving them alone. This was a new toy that made noise, so she just couldn't help herself.

I love peas! Ed has started to eat veggies. He likes peas, sweet potatoes, and carrots. That's really all we have tried so far. His favorite is carrots. As you can see, it is usually a big mess by the time we are done. He tries to help put the food/spoon into his mouth with his hands but just ends up getting it everywhere. We have found food in his hair, ears, nose, and neck.

November 2009

Ed is 5 and 1/2 months old. He's sitting pretty well on his own, however, he topples over from time to time. He is also getting to be a pro at rolling over. Here are some pics from this past month!

Beautiful Fall Day

Some pictures from a nice walk...

Our camera has finally been returned! Here are the pictures that we took from the wedding two weeks ago. The last picture is one I took this morning while Ed was eating his cereal. Well, I guess I should say, while I was attempting to feed Ed his cereal. He's still not a fan...

4 months

Ed's 4 month doctor visit was on Friday. He is now 15lbs. 5oz. and 25 1/4 inches long. He is in the 75th percentile in height and weight! The doc said he is a "big boy," but very healthy.

He is ready to start solid food, so we began with cereal 2 days ago. He is not a fan. He spit it out and cried the first time. He's very confused with the spoon idea. This morning, I tried again and he was a little better. He kind of stares at me like "what in the world are you doing to me?" Most of it ends up on his bib/clothes/me instead of his tummy. We'll keep trying and I'm sure he'll begin to like it one of these days.

PS- We still don't have our camera, so no new pictures to post!

Last week, Ed started to notice toys! He now likes to reach out and grab the toys. And of course, it immediately goes in the mouth. :-) He also loves to watch his hands move around. It's so funny to watch him analyze things.

Side note: We went to our friends wedding this weekend, and Ed looked so handsome in his sweater vest, button up shirt, and cords! We got some great pics of him, too. Unfortunately, we left our camera at the reception and it has not been located yet.

Daddy being silly

My boys watching football

Coolest dad ever...yes, that is Ed's frog towel that Brandon is wearing as a cape.

We have had a fun week! We went to Mommy/Baby Yoga on Tuesday and then today we went to a playdate. Ed had so much fun at both! He really gets a kick out of watching all the other babies and I enjoy meeting other moms and having adult conversation. Tomorrow we are going into the city to have lunch with Daddy. Should be a fun adventure! Here are some pics from today's playdate. Oh yeah, and he can now roll over (belly to back).

3 months!

Ed had his 3 month doctor appt. today. He is a whopping 14 lbs. 5 oz and 24 inches long. He only grew one inch but gained 3 lbs in one month. I guess it all went to his thighs and cheeks. He got two shots and this time wasn't so tough. :-(

These days he loves to sit up (with assistance) and look at all his surroundings. Lying down on our back is just not as fun anymore. He's starting to join our world and notice more and more. The most recent thing is looking up at the leaves on the trees as we pass by in our stroller. Ah, yes, and he loves to watch the television...ugh, not such a good thing! His eyes are just drawn to it. Meal time is also very short since there are so many interesting things to grab our attention away from eating. He, of course, isn't starving though!

Sitting on the couch

Ed is a drool machine these days. He's sporting the bib his Aunt Allison and Uncle Christo gave him.

Checking out his feet again. He loves to watch them move. Ahh, the simple pleasures...

Smiling at mommy. What a sweet toothless grin.

What chu talkin bout?

Still a Mets fan, even though they are terrible.

Story before bed with Daddy. One of my favorite books...
