We have had a fun week! We went to Mommy/Baby Yoga on Tuesday and then today we went to a playdate. Ed had so much fun at both! He really gets a kick out of watching all the other babies and I enjoy meeting other moms and having adult conversation. Tomorrow we are going into the city to have lunch with Daddy. Should be a fun adventure! Here are some pics from today's playdate. Oh yeah, and he can now roll over (belly to back).

3 months!
Ed had his 3 month doctor appt. today. He is a whopping 14 lbs. 5 oz and 24 inches long. He only grew one inch but gained 3 lbs in one month. I guess it all went to his thighs and cheeks. He got two shots and this time wasn't so tough. :-(
These days he loves to sit up (with assistance) and look at all his surroundings. Lying down on our back is just not as fun anymore. He's starting to join our world and notice more and more. The most recent thing is looking up at the leaves on the trees as we pass by in our stroller. Ah, yes, and he loves to watch the television...ugh, not such a good thing! His eyes are just drawn to it. Meal time is also very short since there are so many interesting things to grab our attention away from eating. He, of course, isn't starving though!

Sitting on the couch

Ed is a drool machine these days. He's sporting the bib his Aunt Allison and Uncle Christo gave him.

Checking out his feet again. He loves to watch them move. Ahh, the simple pleasures...

Smiling at mommy. What a sweet toothless grin.

Ed is all ready for football season! Go Titans! I also wanted to get record of his "old man" hair so maybe one day we can embarrass him at his wedding...hilarious! He just started to notice his feet. You can see him staring at them in the 3rd picture. I've tried to get him to grab them, but he just wants to stare at them right now.
Oh yeah, and he can now soothe himself to sleep...YES! We just started this this week, so he still cries in protest for a bit when I put him down but will eventually nod off. The first night, he cried for 45 min, then next night 1hr., then last night 30 min. Hopefully, tonight will only be 15 min! It is so much harder to sit there and listen to him cry than I originally thought. He sounds so pitiful! Better now than when he can cry "mama" or "dada!" That would be the worst!! Anyway, this is a big accomplishment in the baby world, especially for such a young fella, so I wanted to share! No more endless nights of rocking to sleep. For now, it's just, what seems like, endless crying himself to sleep! Let's hope that improves quickly! I'll keep you updated....
