1. Ed has become a great eater. Pretty much anything I feed him, he will eat. He has come a long way in the past month when he would hardly touch anything but milk. However, he now thinks it's funny to spit/blow his food all over the place while eating. Anyone or anything within 5 feet will get hit. It was funny the first time, now, not so much. This has been going on for about a week now. I'm not really sure how to make him stop, except tell him "no" which I'm pretty sure he doesn't understand yet. This one is going to be a battle I'm afraid.
2. While looking at himself in the mirror, he tries to lick/bite his reflection. I'm pretty sure he thinks it's another baby as this is what he does to all babies he meets. I'm not really sure why, but other babies do it too, so I guess that's the baby handshake. :-) It is pretty hilarioius.
3. He is still just babbling "dadadododo," but he knows Hailey's name and will look around for her if you say "Where's Hailey?" Then, when he looks at her, he does his best to say her name. It usually comes out sounding like "uhheee". But, it's a start! We think that will be his first word. He still absolutely loves her and just lights up whenever he sees her.
About 2 weeks ago, he started waking up at night multiple times (which he never does!). The days of sleepless nights from Ed's first few months of life were coming back to haunt me. Well, luckily, it only lasted 2 nights and there was a tiny little tooth popping out of his gum to show for it! Yay for Ed! It hasn't fully grown in yet, but it keeps getting taller and taller every day! He loves to pull up on Brandon and me (not objects yet) and he's getting very close to crawling. Yikes! Babyproofing, here we go!
Here are some pics from the last few weeks.
Read a book? Ha! Not when you can eat it!
Here he is eating the baby in the mirror. If you look closely enough, you can see his slobber all over the mirror.
Recently, we went to "The Little Gym". Ed had a blast! He screamed out of excitement the whole time and was definitely the center of attention. I'm hoping this will not be a sign of what is to come.
Already popular with the ladies!
Practicing crawling. He is very close!
