One more month and our little guy will be a year old. His new thing now is hugging. It is so delicious to finally feel that affection from him in such an obvious way. He also knows a few of his toy names (train, truck, book, ball). When we tell him to go get them, he does (if he can find them before getting distracted by something else). It's pretty amazing actually. He still points at everything and says "doe" or "duh". We can't seem to get a different sound out just yet even though he tries so hard. He is starting to show signs of wanting to walk. He is such a fast crawler, we thought he had lost all motivation. He now has a new push toy that we think helped him realize that walking is much cooler than crawling. He has just had it a week and is already getting better at it and cruising along the furniture more. He also has two new teeth on the top, so 6 total (4 top, 2 bottom). He still has not lost his fascination/obsession with Hailey and continues to play with/torture her daily. He loves to play ball with her (which she enjoys) and also chase her with his push toy and train and truck (which she doesn't enjoy).

one last picture. brandon took me out to dinner to a nice steakhouse for my brthday. it was the first time just the two of us have been out here since ed was born. so refreshing!
